While in Kihei Maui watching the sunset, I looked over to my right and saw the beautiful golden colors on the beach and in the distance. I went over to the gentleman in the foreground (David) and told him I took a photo of him, and was probably going to paint it. When I was finished the painting I showed it to him on Instagram. He was thrilled on how it turned out and purchased it.
